2PM has captivated the hearts of Chinese fans with a successful concert in the city of Nanjing. On February 25, the “animal-idol” group held its first concert in Nanjing in front of more than 9,000 fans. The concert was part of 2PM’s first Asian concert tour, “Hands Up Asia Tour,” which covers Taipei, Jakarta, Singapore, Bangkok, Nanjing and Hong Kong.

Seungri who recently made an appearance on MBC "Light and Shadow" boasted, "I have a talent for getting slapped. My cheeks are firm so the sound of the slap can be heard much better." Oricon Charts President: "Too Many K-Pop Artists Rushing to Japanese Market"
Koike Koh, the CEO of Japan’s Oricon, made an important comment regarding the influx of Korean artists into Japan. He stated, "The metabolism of Korean artists and music seems too fast for Japanese market. Japanese fans might get tired of them since way too many of them are rushing to enter the market. This might negatively effect Hallyu, the Korean wave."

BIGBANG’s latest music video for “Blue” has earned the group two gold medals from YouTube. The online video site has a system of rewarding gold, silver, and bronze medals to videos uploaded on its site under three different categories that include, “All Time Most Popular, “Recently Most Popular,” and “Trending.” The medals are given based on total views and the number of “likes.”
BIGBANG to Join Cast of MBC “Infinity Challenge”
BIGBANG is all but set to rejoin the cast of MBC “Infinity Challenge.” On February 27, local media quoted a YG Entertainment representative as saying, “BIGBANG has finished their meeting with the production team of ‘Infinity Challenge.’ BIGBANG likes ‘Infinity Challenge’ so much that they easily accepted the offer to appear on a special episode.”
T-ara to Take Break from Acting in 2012
T-ara announced from Japan through their agency Core Contents Media Co. that they are going to put their acting career on hold this year in order to focus only on music. The CEO Kim Kwang Soo stated, "T-ara is planning on releasing a new album as they launch an official fan club in early July. Also, we are currently talking about holding a large scaled concert at the end of July." T-ara also plans to spend more time in Japan by increasing their Japanese acitivities’ portion from 10% to 30% of all T-ara related activities.

On the February 26 episode of MBC "Section TV Entertainment Relay," the topic of the time left before idol groups break up was brought up. BIGBANG answered questions about what were their feelings now that they passed the expiration date of typical idol groups which is usually around five years. The reporter asked, "You passed the five year life span of most idol groups. How do you feel about it?" Member T.O.P chose to answer the question. He replied, "[Even though we passed the five year mark] it still could happen."
