Park Ji Yoon To Comeback After Three Years

Park Ji Yoon is coming back after three years of inactivity. She recently released her new single, "Quiet Dream" on various online music sites. Park Ji Yoon herself wrote "Quiet Dream" with the help of Yong Lin from band Dear Cloud in editing. The song has poetic words and lyrical melody. Park Ji Yoon has been missing in action since the release of her 7th album, "Flower, Again the First Time" back in 2009. However, her fans would be able to see her more often this time around as her new album is coming soon and she will be on tvN’s "Opera Star 2012."

Dal Shabet and Lim Jeong Hee Added to SBS MTV “Music Island” Cast

Dal Shabet and Lim Jeong Hee have been added to the main cast of SBS MTV “Music Island.” According to our sources at SBS MTV, the six-member girl group Dal Shabet and female R&B singer Lim Jeong Hee will fly to Jeju Island for the inaugural recording of the highly anticipated music talk show.

2NE1’s First Japanese Album Release Date Set

2NE1 will finally release their very first Japanese album on February 28. According to Oricon, 2NE1’s first Japanese album would be in the format of "Best Album," where it contains 2NE1’s original Japanese songs as well as the Japanese version of their Korean songs such as "Fire" and "I don’t care." Along with the album, 2NE1 will also release a DVD featuring various kinds of 2NE1’s music videos that has been released so far. Further detail is yet to be specified.

Miryo’s “Dirty” Banned for Lyrics Containing “Cross-Eyed”

Miryo’s solo debut track, “Dirty,” has been ruled “inappropriate for broadcasting” by MBC and KBS, it was reported on February 3. According to local reports, the Brown Eyed Girls’ rapper received a notice from the two broadcasters for the lyrics of the song containing the word, “cross-eyed.” They said the word “cross-eyed” has negative connotations and could be perceived as a derogatory term for the disabled.

Police Called to Deal With Crowd at Teen Top Fan Signing Event

Teen Top’s popularity is responsible for paralyzing a shopping center in Gwangju. On February 1, a Teen Top fan meeting was scheduled at a music store in Chungjang-ro, Gwangju. The area became frozen due to the immense size of the crowds which gathered for the event. Prior to the signing, eager fans were lined up outside of the store hoping to get a glimpse of the Teen Top members. At the end of the event Teen Top had to remain inside the music shop for close to an hour due to the crowd that accumulated.

SNSD Reveals BTS Photos from NYC Fan Signing Event

As reported earlier, SNSD held a special fan meeting event in New York City on February 2. The event was held at the Best Buy store in Union Square, where SNSD also gave out free signed CDs of “The Boys.” Following the event, SNSD uploaded more than a dozen behind the scene shots from the event. The photos show thousands of fans pack the streets of New York, with black and white pictures of SNSD gladly signing autographs for the fans.
