The new idol group MYNAME released the album jacket for their debut single, “Message.” On October 17, they released it on their twitter. The group has been receiving attention because they are Hwanhee’s proteges. The jacket shows off the members Se Yong, In Soo, Joon Q, Chae Jin, and Gun Woo. The members show off their own unique styles which are chic and charismatic. The image that the group is going for seems to be “Strong Men” which is charismatic but colorful. Although they are a new group, many domestic and foreign designers worked on their clothing.

Secret, "Going Head-to-Head with SNSD? We Have Our Weapons"
The four membered girl group Secret, is coming back with their first full album. But unlike the innocent girls who gave their fans cute eye smiles, they have returned as women, wearing all black and looking chic. They are no longer the girls that we knew before. Their new look and their first full album is making fans anticipate their comeback even more. What is even more surprising is that they are waiting for the comeback of SNSD in order to go head-to-head with the No.1 girl group. SNSD and Secret will be having their comebacks in the same week, and will be promoting alongside each other. Most idol groups had returned to the music scene early October or are making a comeback in early November in order to avoid having to compete with SNSD. In fact, due to the enormous power of SNSD, some groups even rearranged their schedule in order to avoid SNSD, after SNSD’s album release was delayed.
JYJ’s Stunning Performance Leaves Lasting Impression at “JYJ UNFORGETTABLE LIVE CONCERT IN JAPAN 2011”
JYJ put on another stunning performance at their latest solo concert, “JYJ UNFORGETTABLE LIVE CONCERT IN JAPAN 2011,” leaving more than 80,000 avid fans in awe over the two-day concert from Oct. 15 to 16. Making their first Japanese appearance in five months, JYJ gave performances of songs from their worldwide album, “The Beginning,” as well as their latest Korean special album, “In Heaven.” They also sang tracks from their drama OSTs, including “Found You” from MBC drama “Sungkyunkwan Sandal,” “I’ll Protect You” from SBS drama “Protect the Boss,” and “You Are So Beautiful” from SBS drama “Scent of a Woman.”
Secret Uses Yoo Jae Suk’s "Jjohah (I LIKE)" Dance on New Music Video
Girl group Secret’s label, TS Entertainment, claimed today that “At midnight, we will release the full version of Secret’s new music video ‘Love, Move’ which will feature the girls performing Yoo Jae Suk’s ‘Jjohah (I LIKE)’ dance.” Secret will make their re-appearance into the music scene on October 18 with a complete album (the last time they released one was two years ago) titled “Moving in SECRET.”
2AM to Debut and Tour in Japan in January of Next Year
2AM recently announced that they will debut and tour in Japan starting January 2012.They will release the single “Never Let You Go” on January 11 as their official Japanese debut
Wonder Girls Rep on Upcoming Comeback, SNSD vs. the Wonder Girls
Representatives of the Wonder Girls stated their thoughts on having to face SNSD for their comeback. In summation, the Wonder Girls will focus on making a more complete album instead of focusing on the competition. For this, the Wonder Girls are focusing on recording their album. A representative of JYP Entertainment stated on October 17, “It would be a lie to say that we do not care about SNSD’s comeback timing. However, instead of focusing on competition we will focus more on making a better album.”
Harmful Media Status for SM the Ballad’s “Tomorrow..” Removed
SM the Ballad’s “Tomorrow…” had originally received a harmful media status by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family (Herefater, MOGEF) because the lyrics contained a reference to “alcohol.” On October 14, the MOGEF stated that “SM the Ballad’s ‘I Miss You too Much’ had received a harmful media status but after the lawsuit and the Supreme Court’s decision, we have removed the harmful media status.” On August 25, SM Entertainment’s lawsuit against the MOGEF was decided in SM Entertainment’s favor. “SM the Ballad” was SM Entertainment’s project group made up of, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, SHINee’s Jong Hyun, Trax’ Jay, and JINO. After about 50 days since the court decision the Ministry of Gender Equality has made the official announcement.
Korean Wave Strikes at F1 Grand Prix Korea
On October 15, the official race course for the F1 Grand Prix Korea was opened in Yeongam. 200,000 people gathered for the debut of the Korean International Circuit track. Hallyu struck the grand opening of the 5.615 kilometer race circuit. The main idols who represent the Korean wave were present: ranging from SNSD, Super Junior, T-ara, Davichi, 4Minute, F.T. Island, Infinite, Jewelry, Orange Caramel, Brown Eyed Girls, along with many other idol groups to give a two hour performance for the opening celebrations.

SNSD Unveils "The Boys" Second Korean and English Teaser
Drumming up more excitement, SNSD has revealed a second Korean and English music video teaser for their comeback song "The Boys." SM Entertainment made the teasers public from their YouTube channel on midnight KST, October 17. These teasers include an extra 15 seconds of footage compared to the previous video teaser. Fans get a longer peak at the powerful vocal and rap lines, as well as more dance cuts.
