On the eighth episode of K-Pop Star which aired on January 22, Su Pearls performed "Fame" the original soundtrack of the eponymous movie. Their cover especially has been receiving hot responses online as it surpassed the million view mark on the entertainment portal Daum.
Actor So Ji Sub has been officially invited to attend Thailand’s "Hua Hin International Film Festival" and will be at the opening ceremony. So Ji Sub’s latest film, "Only You" has been invited to screen at the festival to represent Korean films. Since the movie is scheduled to open in Thailand on February 2, So Ji Sub’s visit is more meaningful to his Thai fans.
Actor Kim Soo Hyun’s past photos surfaced. A collection of past pictures of Kim Soo Hyun were recently uploaded on an online community board with the title "Cute Kim Soo Hyun’s Past Photos."

The British actor John Hurt will join on the cast of director Bong Joon Ho’s “Transperceneige” or “Snow Piercer.” In an interview John Hurt stated, “The film staff showed great respect towards Bong Jun Ho. I am happy that I will be working with him.” Chris Evans will star in the film and Song Kang Ho is also a part of the cast.
In just nine days, Uhm Jung Hwa’s movie, "Dancing Queen," has brought in 1.5 million theater goers! The movie hit theaters on January 18, and according to survey results released on January 27, "Dancing Queen" ranked second place in the box office, recording 109,353 people in one day on the 26th. In total so far, 1,501,677 people have seen the movie.
Yang Dong Geun returns to dramas after five years. On January 27 CJ E&M announced that the cable channel OCN would broadcast the first hero action drama “Hero.” The drama is fantasy/sci-fi set in the future. The setting is a city called “Moo Young” in South Korea. Yang Dong Geun plays the character “Heuk Chul” who gains superpowers and struggles in a confused world where good and evil have switched places, and justice and conscience has disappeared. The concept of Yang Dong Geun’s character is described as an “uncontrollable, idiot hero.”
