Big Bang’s Taeyang thanked fans that continued to show support. On October 24, he tweeted, “This year we (Big Bang) had a lot of things happen to us. I believe that it was a chance for us to become stronger in this world.” He continued by thanking fans, “Everyone, I wanted to thank you once more for your interest and love. Love ya.” Taeyang’s message is talking about all the problems that Big Bang has gone through this year. Starting from Daesung getting into a car accident to G-Dragon and his marijuana incident, Big Bang has been through a rough year.

Big Bang’s Daesung to Return to Television Through “What’s Up"

Big Bang member Daesung will be returning to television through "What’s Up," a drama that is planned to air from December on MBN. Filming for "What’s Up" was completed in February. Technically because filming was already finished back then, it does not mean Daesung is making a comeback. However, it is gathering attention because Daesung has not appeared on television for a long time.

Big Bang’s Daesung to Return in December at YG Family Concert

Daesung will make his comeback in December for the YG Family Concert that will celebrate the 15th anniversary of YG Entertainment’s founding. “This concert is expected to feature the comeback stage of Daesung, who suspended all activities since the unfortunate accident in May, so it will be a great event for all the fans that have been waiting for his return,” YGE said in a statement.

Recent Picture of Daesung Surfaces on the Internet

Currently Daesung’s recent photo has been gaining a lot of attention. On October 10, a post with the title “A recent picture of Daesung” showed two pictures of Daesung. In the picture, Daesung looks a lot skinnier. He is wearing a suit and giving out his signature “eye-smile.” Netizens that have come across the picture have stated, “Fighting,” “It looks like you really had a hard time,” “You look like a nice hyung from church,” “You look like you lost a lot of weight,” “I miss you.”

“YGE State of Emergency”: From G-Dragon & Marijuana, Daesung’s Car Accident, to Stocks

YG Entertainment is in a state of emergency because of the mishaps that have been occurring lately, that started with Daesung’s unfortunate accident. Big Bang’s G-Dragon has caused shockwaves due to his smoking marijuana. He is currently under the suspension of indictment (which is basically a warning) for smoking marijuana in Japan. According to a representative of the prosecutor’s office, “On June 15, there was a search-and-seizure and the urine test at that time had come out negative, in July a hair drug test turned out positive.”

Big Bang to Release "THE BEST OF BIGBANG" in November

Big Bang will be releasing their first “Best of” album in Japan on November 23. Big Bang’s Japanese agency, Universal Music Japan, revealed through their website that the group will be releasing a Best of album next month. Titled “THE BEST OF BIGBANG,” the album will contain all fourteen songs that Big Bang has released in Japan including “MY HEAVEN” and “Gara Gara GO!!” A second CD will consist of popular tracks sung released in Korea.

Daesung Acquitted of Victim’s Death in Car Accident

On August 29th, the Seoul Prosecutor’s office dismissed charges against Big Bang’s Daesung over the death of a motorcyclist that was involved in a car accident in late May. The prosecutor’s office said no sufficient evidence was found to prove the victim was alive at the time of Daesung’s contact with him, and it’s hard to completely rule out the possibility of the motorcyclist being killed from his initial crash into the streetlamp.
