The cast of MBC’s upcoming historical drama, “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” gathered yesterday, January 2, for a press conference. “The Moon Embracing the Sun” is a fantasy historical drama (sageuk) set in the Joseon Dynasty and stars “Dream High’s” Kim Soo Hyun, “Bad Guy’s” Han Ga In, “Baby-Faced Beauty’s” Kim Min Seo, and “Flower Boy Ramen Shop’s” Jung Il Woo.

Fans in Korea are in for a treat, as actor Jung Il Woo has decided to hold a personal fan event for the last episode of tvN’s popular "Flower Boy Ramyun Shop" drama. On December 20, Jung Il Woo will be thanking fans for their endless support by renting out a movie theater and spending a special night with them in time for the drama’s final broadcast.

Jung Il Woo Cast in New Drama Following “Flower Boy Ramyun Shop”

Jung Il Woo (“49 Days,” and “Flower Boy Ramyun Shop”) has been cast for the new MBC drama, “The Moon Embracing the Sun.” He will take the role that was recently offered to “Ojakyo Brother’s” Joo Won. Earlier today, a representative of MBC told local media “OSEN” that Jung Il Woo has indeed accepted the offer and is scheduled for a costume fitting today.

Flower Boy Ramyun Shop Earns Top Ratings Thanks to "Jung Il Woo Effect"

Cable drama “Flower Boy Ramyun Shop” (FBRS) aired its first episode on Oct 31, scoring a respectable 1.19% in ratings of households with tvN, Mnet, Olive and OnStyle cable channels, according to AGB Nielsen Research. Analysis of the ratings also revealed that it as the top drama for female viewers aged between 20 to 30. This age group also constitute 30% of viewers when the ratings of the episode peaked at 2.6%. As ratings for cable programs, these figures mark a promising start for the drama.

"Flower Boy Ramyun Shop’s" Press Conference

The cast of tvN’s new "Flower Boy Ramyun Shop" showed up for their drama’s production press conference on October 27 at Seoul’s CGV theater. The drama is a romantic comedy centered around a ramyun shop: The heroine runs it, a talented chef cooks at it, and a high school chaebol owns it. On top of that, a staff of young pretty boys is brought in to work at it. "Flower Boy Ramyun Shop" premieres on tvN on October 31 and airs on Mondays and Tuesdays.
