Wheesung Enlists in Korean Army
On November 7, Wheesung enlisted in Korean Army, starting his five week boot camp training before the 23 month mandatory military service. Wheesung was initially expected to get military exemption due to chronic dislocations of his shoulder, but he received special treatment lately and was judged healthy enough to enlist in regular army.
Rain’s Hand-Written Letter to Fans
Besides Rain’s letter to his little sister, another hand-written letter has been revealed. The military revealed the hand-written letter by Rain on October 24. It reads, “I am reading your letters well. Receiving letters here is giving me a lot of strength. I am having a good time with my fellow comrades. I am actually thankful for the things I haven’t had the chance to experience outside of the military. I am from 7 to 11 years older than most individuals here in the service and I have become something of a professional counselor.”
Supernova’s Leader Yoon Hak To Enter Military Service
Boy group Supernova’s Yoon Hak (Jung Yoon Hak, age 27) will be enlisting in the military. On Oct. 24, his agency reported that he will be putting off his activities to go into service for two years. On Oct. 25, he will be meeting fans at noon before he enters his recruiting center and is assigned his duties. He has already held a meeting with his Japanese fans, parting with final greetings on Oct. 16 at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. The event was titled "For You", and the members of Supernova held a "confession corner" for their beloved leader.

On October 15, through her Cyworld Mini-Homepage Rain’s little sister Jung Ha Na posted a picture of the package that rain sent, and also the letter. Rain’s little sister said, “The package arrived today. When I received it I was fine, but the moment I started reading the letter I started to cry. I cried when I read, ‘To my sister who I love most in the world’ and laughed when he asked me to wash our dog Baek Goo.”
Trainee Soldier Rain Dispatched to the Frontline
Singer/actor Rain, who has officially entered his mandatory military service on October 11 is dispatched to Division 5 as a trainee soldier. Division 5 is a frontline division located in Gyeonggi Province, where it is said that temperatures drop to 30 degrees below zero in the winter.
