On the list of songs for the copyright association of South Korea, a song titled “Hikkup” by Andrew Jackson was on the list. Fans then looked up the song through Andrew Jackson and released the song in a clip on Youtube with the title “SNSD’s Official 3rd Album Demo Song.” Netizens were wondering if this was an actual leak of one of the songs that would be on the album.

Park Jung Hyun Releases Diva Project
On August 24th the production company Monster World Entertainment Park Jung Hyun released the album “Diva Project” which is a collaboration album with Big Mama’s Lee Young Hyun and So Hyang. This album is receiving a lot of attention because this is Park Jung Hyun’s first project after MBC’s “Survival: I Am a Singer,” and because she is collaborating with other top divas. The title song “Mermaid” portrays the feelings of the Little Mermaid who cannot fulfill her love. The song is set on the night before the Little Mermaid turns into a water bubble because she does not achieve love.
A production representative stated, “Because the best vocalists had gathered together it was very difficult to put all of their unique voices together.”
2NE1 Dara’s Teaser for Japanese Version of “Ugly” Released
After releasing CL and Minzy’s teasers over the last two days, 2NE1 released Dara’s teaser of the Japanese version of “Ugly” today. In the 21-second clip (all three teasers so far are 21-seconds long), you get a glimpse at Dara’s Japanese as a single line from her verse is included. Even with the Japanese lyrics, Dara does a perfect job singing her part.
SS501’s Heo Young Saeng Joins “Protect the Boss” O.S.T.
SS501’s Heo Young Saeng is joining the O.S.T. album of SBS drama “Protect the Boss.” His track titled, “Sad Song,” will be used as the love theme song for Ji Sung and Choi Kang Hee’s relationship. It is written and produced by Jeon Hae Sung, who’s known for his works in the O.S.T. albums of other hit dramas such as SBS “Secret Garden” and MBC “Greatest Love.” Following JYJ’s Jaejoong, Lyn, and A-Pink, Heo Young Saeng will become the fourth artist to be part of the drama’s O.S.T.

Rain’s latest single, “Busan Woman,” has been at the center of controversy lately for allegedly plagiarizing U.S. R&B singer Raphael Saadiq’s 2004 single, “Detroit Girl.” Since its release on August 16th, “Busan Woman” has been noted for the similarity in style to “Detroit Girl.” Industry officials and fans have been saying, “Except for the name of the city, both songs have similar titles, rhythms, melodies, arrangements, and instrumentals. In particular, the beginning part and chorus are strikingly similar. It’s almost like an adaptation of each other.”
