Kara Reaches #1 on Oricon’s Variety DVD Chart

Kara’s Japanese DVD, "2012 Karadise, Paris," which was released on January 25, was ranked as the no.1 Variety DVD on Oricon DVD charts. According to Oricon, "2012 Karadise, Paris" sold 6,000 copies right after its release and such impressive sales places Kara on the general DVD chart as the artist of 7th most selling DVD.

Idol group Teen Top, who recently made a comeback with hit song "Crazy," guest-appeared on SBS radio program "Power FM 107.7MHZ" and revealed their favorite girl group. In order to test Teen Top’s team work through questions, the show’s DJ Choi Hwa Jung asked, "Who do you like better between SNSD’s YoonA and Wonder Girls’ Sohee?"

FT Island Album #1 for Offline Album Sales

CN Blue First Korean Artist on Japanese MTV Unplugged

CN Blue appeared on MTV “Unplugged” which was the first as a Korean singer. They sang 12 songs for the filming of MTV “Unplugged” which was held on January 31 in Japan. There were 150 fans that were at the performance. MTV Unplugged began in Japan since July 2011. The Japanese version still stays true to its roots by having singers perform in front of a live audience with an acoustic feel.

SPICA Kim Bo Hyung Used to Be a Trainee with 2NE1

It has just been revealed that Kim Bo Hyung of SPICA used to be a trainee of 2NE1. SPICA gained attention for being a part of Lee Hyori’s agency. Lee Hyori even appeared in their music video for “Doggedly.” Kim Bo Hyung is the lead vocals for SPICA and she trained with 2NE1 for over two years at YG Entertainment. In an interview on January 31 she stated, “I used to be a trainee with the four members of 2NE1. Then it was decided that 2NE1 would be made into a four member group. The CEO YG introduced me to Loen Entertainment and I am now a member of SPICA.”

Photos and Performance Clip of SNSD for "The Late Show with David Letterman"

As we reported earlier SNSD will appear on “The Late Show with David Letterman” on CBS January 31, 2012. The following day they will appear on “Live! With Kelly” on ABC. On February 1 (Korean Time), an online community board posted pictures of SNSD entering into the studio for the recording were shown. The members of SNSD don’t look too nervous and they are still sparkling. Each member is wearing something that gives off a unique vibe.
