BIGBANG’s "Alive" Reaches All-Kill

On February 29, Big Bang released their fifth mini-album through various online music sites. Upon its release the album captured the top spots on Melon, Bugs, MNET, Soribada, and other music charts. Abroad the album has been making an impact as well. Like YG had predicted the album is doing much better on iTunes than just the single released a week ago. At the time of this article’s composition the album is reported to be in the top ten on the iTunes pop-chart in several countries.

SHINee Releases Japanese Album "The First" in Korea

On February 29, SHINee released their Japanese debut album in South Korea. SHINee’s album, “The First,” was originally released in Japan in June of 2011. Through their promotions the popular group had the opportunity to meet with a wide variety of music fans. The response was positive. The album is available in two versions: a regular CD release and a CD and DVD version. “The First” is made up of twelve songs: five new songs “Better,” “To Your Heart,” “Always Love,” "Start," "Seesaw," and the group’s classic hits “Replay,” “Juliette,” “Lucifer,” "Amigo," "Love Like Oxygen," "Hello," and "The SHINee World."

U-KISS Kevin and Soo Hyun to Release "Remember" for "Syndrome" OST

U-KISS members Kevin and Soo Hyun contributed their talents to a side project. The two idols participate in a track for the soundtrack of cable drama “Syndrome.” Their song “Remember” highlights the sound of a grand piano and orchestra tunes, bringing with it a melancholy mood and sad feeling. “Remember” is used in the drama as the love theme for the characters Cha Yeo Wook (played by Song Chang Ui) and Lee Hae Jo (played by Han Hye Jin), who are both doctors. The song both marks the beginning of the love line and was slowly introduced to viewers as the closing theme.
