Girls group KARA’s fan meeting was held at Seoul Jamsil Gymnasium on the 11th. This was their first official activity after a five months of hiatus due to the contract dispute with DSP Media. The girls met with the press and their fans, and delivered their thoughts by stating, “Today is the real start for KARA; we will show you a stronger KARA from now on.”

2NE1 to Feature in Japan’s Koda Kumi’s Latest Single This Fall?
Earlier this year, the girl group, 2NE1 was to have their official debut in Japan, but instead due to the unforeseen circumstances of the recent disasters in the country it was postponed until a later date. The group ended up releasing an album for the Japanese fans but were unable to actually promote it. Fast forward a few months and it has now been revealed that 2NE1 will make their official debut in Japan this fall, in September. To mark this fresh start in Japan they will be releasing a new album as well. Other than that not much is known of their exact plans yet.

On April 21st, the K-Pop Wave Concert took place in Thailand which brought Korean idols, their fans, and a lot of excitement. Korea’s Arirang TV paired up with Thailand’s radio station, PD Creation to bring music from Korea to music fans in Thailand. Not only that but all proceeds from the concert went to benefit the earthquake relief effort in Japan. K-Pop artists’ who were in attendance: 2PM, Son Hoyoung, Kim Tae Woo, Infinite, Kim Hyung Joon, U-Kiss, and Park Jungmin. An additional concert was held on a later date on April 29th where TVXQ, Se7en, F. Cuz, MBLAQ, Teen Top, and the Boss performed. Even though it has been a few months since the big event, Arirang TV has produced some interview and performance clips from the day.
