In the beginning of August Bobby Kim and whether he is appearing on “Survival: I Am a Singer” will be decided.” A representative of Bobby Kim’s agency Oscarent stated on July 28th, “Bobby Kim will give his decision for appearing on ‘Survival: I Am a Singer’ either on August 1st or August 2nd to MBC. Bobby Kim has received the offer of appearing on the tour, but he will have a national tour and also will release an album with Buga Kings this fall, there are a lot of things he needs to think about. He will take all of these things into careful consideration and then choose whether to appear on ‘Survival: I Am a Singer’ or not.”
IU Denies Special College Admission Rumors
IU addressed recent rumors of her receiving preferential treatment from “S” university for special admissions. On July 26th, she was asked by a fan, “Recently, I’ve heard many rumors of you heading to college. Is that true? I can’t sleep thinking about it.” IU responded, “Rumors? YGE Explains Why 2NE1 Released One Track at a Time for New Album
Many fans have been taking note of YG Entertianment’s unique promotion style for 2NE1’s latest mini album, where five different singles were released separately prior to the album’s release. Yang Hyun Suk, the head of YGE, gave an explanation for this new approach in an interview with Star News, saying, “In the past, people used to purchase the actual album and listen to all the songs in it. So even if it weren’t the title song, many songs would slowly gain popularity later on. But now the spending pattern has changed to online and mobile centric, which as a result, made people to only listen to the title track, even when the whole album is available.”

Plagiarism controversies have been common in K-Pop as of late. The public has seen copycat groups performing in other countries.
