The opening ceremony for the 16th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) was held on October 6 at the Heaven Theater in the Movie Hall. Actresses Uhm Ji Won and Ye Ji Won emceed the ceremony, marking the first time that two females hosted the event. Actress Min Hyo Rin failed her driving test for the second time. On August 12th, Min Hyo Rin took a driving test at the Seoul Kangnam driver’s license test area. Last year she took her first driver’s test and had failed. (Obtaining a driver’s license is different from the U.S., in Korea you have to go through two separate driving tests, one is a course, and the other is actual driving. Min Hyo Rin failed her driving course, driving test.)

The VIP premiere of the new movie "Arrow, the Ultimate Weapon" was held at Lotte Cinema in Seoul on August 1. The historical action drama takes place during the Joseon dynasty and focuses on a man’s search for his younger sister and her fiance, who disappeared amidst an attack by Chinese warriors. The premiere was attended by the movie’s stars, Park Hae Il, Ryu Seung Yong, and Moon Chae Won. Korean celebrities in bikinis are like diamonds in the rough, very rare, and very special! Trying to find pictures of Korean celebrities in bikinis made me realize just how conservative (?) Korean entertainment still is, or it’s either just that celebrities are too self-concious or agencies aren’t letting them reveal bikini pictures.
