On Oct. 23, SM Town held a concert at the Madison Square Garden in New York for its world tour, hosting the first ever concert that centered on asian singers as the main event. Popular idol groups such as SNSD, Super Junior, SHINee, f(x), DBSK, and BoA attended to perform. During the four hour event, there were some hidden details.

SHINee to Release First Full Length Japanese Album in November

Following the release of “LUCIFER” in Japan, SHINee has announced through their Japanese agency that they will continue with their Japanese activities. They will release their first Japanese album, “THE FIRST.” The album will contain 12 songs including SHINee’s previous songs in Japan such as “LUCIFER,” “Juliette,” and “Replay – You are My Everything.” The album will be available as a regular version, a limited version, and a special limited edition box version. The regular version will include a 44 page photobook and a bonus track titled “Stranger” which was used for the drama “Stranger6.”

Harmful Media Status for SM the Ballad’s “Tomorrow..” Removed

SM the Ballad’s “Tomorrow…” had originally received a harmful media status by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family (Herefater, MOGEF) because the lyrics contained a reference to “alcohol.” On October 14, the MOGEF stated that “SM the Ballad’s ‘I Miss You too Much’ had received a harmful media status but after the lawsuit and the Supreme Court’s decision, we have removed the harmful media status.” On August 25, SM Entertainment’s lawsuit against the MOGEF was decided in SM Entertainment’s favor. “SM the Ballad” was SM Entertainment’s project group made up of, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, SHINee’s Jong Hyun, Trax’ Jay, and JINO. After about 50 days since the court decision the Ministry of Gender Equality has made the official announcement.
