T-ara’s "Cry Cry" Beats Wondergirls’ "Be My Baby" on Gaon Charts

T-ara’s comeback song "Cry Cry" beat Wondergirls’ "Be My Baby" this past week, becoming the most popularly downloaded group on various music sites. On November 24, the results of the top songs on the Gaon Charts revealed that "Cry Cry" had 742,844 downloads, earning the number on spot. Not surprisingly, the song has reached the top slots in digital charts on other music sites as well, such as Bell Sound, Colorring, and Streaming.

On November 24, the “2011 Melon Music Awards (MMA)” was held at the Seoul Olympic Park Stadium with some of the biggest K-Pop stars attending the event. Hosted by Super Junior’s Lee Teuk, Park Shin Hye, and BEAST’s Yoon Doo Joon, the third MMA was another show packed with stunning performances and surprise picks.

Earlier this month, T-ara first shocked us with the movie-like, blockbuster music video for “Cry Cry.” A week later, they came up with the dance version music video, and finally today, the ballad version has been revealed.

Girl group T-ara has recently taken the K-Pop scene by storm with their hugely successful title song “Cry Cry”, which has been released in both drama and dance versions. However, the girls are taking the song up a notch by releasing a ballad version of the song (which has been recently performed in stage performances) in a full music video version. After listening to the three versions of “Cry Cry”, fans agree the ballad version best conveys the lonely and destitute feeling of breaking up that is the focus of T-ara’s title song.

T-ara’s Jiyeon and f(x)’s Victoria in Their Teenage Days

On November 19, an online blogging site released a photo of T-ara’s Jiyeon and f(x)’s Victoria both posing for a school uniform advertisement. Entitled “Jiyeon, Victoria as Uniform Models”, the two idols can be seen as their younger selves and give off a cute teenage air in their various poses, which has drawn all the more
attention to the picture.
