More often than not, they’ve been older women just coming out of a divorce or dealing with a broken marriage – often simply described as an "ajumma." In the past, an ajumma used to describe an older married woman with short, curly hair and a loud, boisterous personality that could be heard several blocks down the street as she shuffeled her kids home wearing clothes that looked as if she lived in them for days.

SBS’s successful variety show “Running Man” aired its China special on September 18. Cast in the romantic lead opposite Jung Il Woo is Lee Chung Ah. Then there’s new face Kim Ye Won (who was a Vietnamese housekeeper in "Romance Town") playing a high school teacher. "Flower Boy Ramyun Shop" is scheduled for 16 episodes to follow "Birdie Buddy" on cable channel tvN, premiering in late October.
Boom Denies Plastic Surgery Rumors
Boom denied the recent plastic surgery rumors on the Sept. 15 episode of KBS “Happy Together Season 3.” The show’s hosts Park Mi Sun and Shin Bong Sun told Boom, “You returned with a much better looking face,” as Boom said, “Everyone I meet tells me I even lost weight around my nose.” Park Myung Soo added, “We thought you received corrective jaw surgery,” to which Boom responded, “I did get teeth whitening. Before I joined the military, I only did it on my front teeth, but recently I got my entire teeth done, and now I can flash a big smile,” making everyone laugh out loud.
Yoon Seung Ah Cast for a Leading Role in Upcoming Drama
Yoon Seung Ah has been cast as a leading character for an upcoming drama. The drama, titled “Brain,” will air Mondays and Tuesdays on KBS. It is scheduled to premier in November, taking over the time slot “Poseidon” currently holds.

MBC’s “Golden Fishery’s” Chief Producer Won Man Shik has begun talking about the future of “Golden Fishery” without Kang Ho Dong. Won Man Shik stated on September 16, “Currently we are discussing whether we need to find a new emcee or just get rid of Kang Ho Dong’s corner and make a new one. However, ‘Radio Star’ will not become the main corner.” Currently, all of the big three broadcasting companies (SBS, KBS, and MBC) are all in a state of confusion because of Kang Ho Dong’s retirement statement. MBC is especially in red alert because of “Golden Fishery.”
