Lee Min Ho is jumping straight from the “Moon that Embraces the Sun” to “Rooftop Prince.” He earned a lot of praise playing the childhood version of Jung Il Woo’s Prince Yang Myung in “Moon that Embraces the Sun” but he is now moving on to a bona fide adult role on “Rooftop Prince.
SBS survival audition program "K-Pop Star" has been on a roll lately and gained tremendous popularity from outside of Korea as well. Su Pearls consists of Park Ji Min, Lee Michelle, Lee Seung Ju and Lee Ji Min. On the eighth episode of K-Pop Star which aired on January 22, Su Pearls performed "Fame" the original soundtrack of the eponymous movie. Their cover especially has been receiving hot responses online as it surpassed the million view mark on the entertainment portal Daum.
Actor Kim Soo Hyun’s past photos surfaced. A collection of past pictures of Kim Soo Hyun were recently uploaded on an online community board with the title "Cute Kim Soo Hyun’s Past Photos."
“The production team and the actors of ‘The King’ gathered together for the first time and the atmosphere was pleasant and filled with laughter,” local news agencies quoted an official from drama’s production team as saying. “The director Lee Jae Kyu is actually very serious, but he led the events within an atmosphere of caring.”
Currently besides their outstanding contestants and also popular judges, “SBS K-Pop Star” is also differentiating from other audition programs by having training programs in each respective agency: SM, YG, and JYP. Yang Dong Geun returns to dramas after five years. On January 27 CJ E&M announced that the cable channel OCN would broadcast the first hero action drama “Hero.” The drama is fantasy/sci-fi set in the future. The setting is a city called “Moo Young” in South Korea. Yang Dong Geun plays the character “Heuk Chul” who gains superpowers and struggles in a confused world where good and evil have switched places, and justice and conscience has disappeared. The concept of Yang Dong Geun’s character is described as an “uncontrollable, idiot hero.”
T-ara’s Hyomin and Super Junior’s Kyuhyun will appear on a special Chinese version of MBC’s “We Got Married.” According to T-ara’s agency Core Contents Media, Hyomin will be appearing on the special that will be broadcast on February 2. They have already filmed two episodes for the broadcast. Hyomin and Kyuhyun will each be pairing up with a Chinese celebrity as a couple. There will also be one more Chinese celebrity couple pairing up. The Chinese “We Got Married,” will broadcast on the Chinese SMG’s new variety channel on February 11 and 12.
IU’s appearance on “Dream High 2” wasn’t planned ahead of time. She will be appearing as the role of “Kim Pil Sook,” a senior of Girin high school. The main character “Hae Sung” (Portrayed by Kang Sora) will appear at a broadcasting station in order to watch a performance of Eden. Due to the fact that the Eden idol members are minors, their concert is about to get cancelled and “Hae Sung” is trying to prevent that. At the broadcasting station, “Hae Sung” runs into IU’s character.
