Big Bang to Appear on Asahi TV’s "Music Station" January 20

Big Bang will appear on the popular Japanese music program, Asahi TV’s “Music Station” on January 20. Big Bang’s comeback is forecast for February and that pushed back the debut date for YG’s new girl group. Originally Big Bang’s new album was slated for a March release. This would have fit in perfectly for their 2012 Big Show concert. However, the preparations for the album were ahead of schedule.

SNSD Writes History in Japan with “Girls’ Generation”

SNSD’s first Japanese album, “Girls’ Generation,” has set a new record in Japan! On January 16, Japan’s Oricon chart said SNSD’s Japanese debut album, “Girls’ Generation,” sold an additional 16,000 copies last week, putting them at #5 on the weekly Oricon Album charts. This is the 17th consecutive week where the album has placed in the Top 10 of the chart, which is the longest record by any Korean album. Their total sale has reached 780,000 copies since its release on June 1 last year.

Pledis Boys, the new boy group from Pledis Entertainment, has revealed their official name and first official photo today. The group better known as “After School Boys,” for coming from the same agency as After School, is in fact going to promote under the name, “NU’EST.” Their name is supposed to be an acronym for “NU (new),” “Establish,” “Style,” and “Tempo.”
