SNSD’s Sunny and SHINee’s Taemin to Voice Animated Characters

SNSD’s Sunny and SHINee’s Taemin will lend their voices to characters in the animated film “The Outback” (also known as “Kid Koala: The Birth of a Hero.”) The two K-Pop idols are set to be the Korean counterparts to Hollywood actors Yvonne Strahovski and Rob Schneider in this Korean-American co-production.

Filming Finishes for "The Thieves"

Filming for the highly anticipated film “The Thieves” (Also known as, The Professionals, or Bandits) starring Kim Yoon Suk, Kim Hye Soo, Lee Jung Jae, and Jeon Ji Hyun finally finished! On December 7, filming of “The Thieves” finished with Kim Yoon Suk who plays the role of Macau Park. Filming began in June and took about 6 months. For the day of the final filming, Jeon Ji Hyun and Lee Jung Jae arrived on scene even though they didn’t have anything to film. Kim Hye Soo was in another country so she couldn’t join in on the last day of filming.

Hwang Jung Min in a Comedy Role for "Dancing Queen"

The actor Hwang Jung Min will play a comedy role in the film “Dancing Queen.” He will play a lawyer who barely passes the bar exam after 8 tries. Although he is an average and modest living lawyer, through circumstance he gets the chance to run the Mayor of Seoul. The film will show Hwang Jung Min playing against the typical image of a Mayor. Instead of keeping a graceful composure, he will show a more peasant-side and appeal to Seoul citizens.

Andrea Bocelli to Sing "My Way" Theme Song

The world renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli is singing the theme song for the film “My Way” which stars Jang Dong Gun. A representative of “My Way” stated on December 8, “Andrea Bocelli will sing ‘To Find My Way’ which was written by Lee Dong Jun, the song will go up at the ending credits of the film.” The music director Lee Dong Jun put in a lot of effort to get Andrea Bocelli to join in on the OST. Since planning the OST he took a whole year to create the perfect song for Andrea Bocelli.

East Meets West: Actress Kim Yun Jin and Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise had a surprise meeting with actress Kim Yun Jin. A representative of the film, “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol” stated on December 8 that, Kim Yun Jin met with Tom Cruise and Paula Pattonon December 2, for a premiere press conference. The meeting was made possible due to a common acquaintance in a producer for Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, “Bryan Burk.” Bryan Burk is known to be very close to Kim Yun Jin, he was a producer for “Lost.” (Kim Yun Jin played a significant role on that show, it should also be noted that J.J. Abrams, the executive producer/director for “Lost” is also a producer for Ghost Protocol.)

Lotte Entertainment who is the distributor for “You’re My Pet” stated on December 1 that the film will be released in 9 different countries: Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Brunei. They also stated, “Please anticipate the results of the film.” Currently the country where the film is set to be released is Japan on January 21. It was reported that the film will be released in 100 different theaters. Korean film industry leaders hope that the film will begin a new trend of Korean films.
