On the episode of SBS “Strong Heart” that will be broadcast on January 10, Lee Chun Hee spoke about an incident when he was trying to get an autograph from Jude Law. Lee Chun Hee stated, “A few years back, I went to see Jude Law perform because I was a fan. I tried my best to catch Jude Law’s attention amongst all of those fans. Because of my actions I ended up getting Jude Law’s autograph.”

We’ve just gone through the first full weekend of 2012 and that means we’ve had our first full set of ratings for 2012 for the weekend variety shows. To be honest thou, the first set of ratings of 2012 didn’t bring about too many surprises, the programs that have been on top in 2011 have continued their dominance into the first weekend of 2012, while the programs that have been suffering in 2011, continued to suffer.

Actress Go Ara ventures into music with the release of a digital single, “Now!” on January 9. The track, and the mini-album it is from, was a surprise release from the actress, going on sale in various music sites without prior notice.
Lee Hyori and Friends Attend Premiere for Uhm Jung Hwa’s Film "Dancing Queen"
Uhm Jung Hwa’s friends went to watch the “Dancing Queen” VIP premiere show including: Lee Hyo Ri, Jung Jae Hyung, Hong Jin Kyung, Lee Young Ja, and Kim Wan Sun. Many other directors went to watch the premiere as well. During the premiere there were many laughs throughout the movie and at the end tears could be seen amongst the viewers.
B.A.P. Makes First Group Introduction for Reality Series
The six member rookie group from TS Entertainment, B.A.P uploaded an introduction to their You Tube channel. The video is a teaser released in preparation for the first episode of their reality series, “Tadah! It’s B.A.P.” The first episode aired Sunday on SBS MTV. Already there is much anticipation surrounding the group (thanks to their pre-debut promotions) and it will only continue to rise with their reality show.
YG Sings a Bit on "SBS K-Pop Star" to JYP’s Amusement
On the most recent episode of “SBS K-Pop Star” that was broadcast on January 8, the judge YG (YG of YG entertainment, Yang Hyun Suk) sang a bit. This was probably the first time he was seen singing on television since his Taiji Boys days. (Although he did sing solo in “Smoke of Devil” and has mostly rapped since) YG ended up singing for Lim Da Young because she could not get the right key for “Lonely.” YG helped her out by singing a bit of it. JYP became surprised and turned to YG saying “Wait isn’t this the first time you’ve sung since the Taiji Boys?” While laughing, YG told JYP not to mock him.
“Dream High 2” Releases Teaser Video
The highly anticipated KBS drama “Dream High 2” has just released a teaser video featuring rough footages of the show. The video first starts off with Kim Jung Tae, who will play the role of Lee Gang Chul and head of HT Entertainment, but leads into scenes of Jiyeon, Hyorin, and Kang Sora. The captions, “flashier and more extraordinary,” only add to the already burning anticipation for the highly popular drama series.
Hyun Bin’s Niece from "My Name Is Kim Samsoon" All Grown Up
Seo Ji Hee who played Hyun Bin’s cousin (Hyun Bin’s character) in the drama “My Name is Kim Samsoon” has grown up all of the sudden and is garnering attention for that. (Her character’s name was “Mi Joo,” who became mute due to the shock of her parent’s dying in a car accident.”
Veteran Singers Park Ji Yoon, Kim Jong Seo, and Son Ho Young Confirmed for tvN "Opera Star"
The Singers Park Ji Yoon, Kim Jong Seo, and Son Ho Young have been confirmed for tvN’s “Opera Star.” A representative of “Opera Star 2” stated on January 9, “For male singers we have Kim Jong Seo, Son Ho Young, The One, and Park Ji Hun. For females we have Park Ji Yoon, Park Ki Young, Dana, and Juhee (8Eight).”
MBC Launches 4 Channels on Youtube
One of the big three broadcasting companies in South Korea, MBC recently launched a Youtube channel today on January 9, 2012. Currently there are 4 different channels: MBC World, MBC Drama, MBC Entertainment, and MBC K-Pop. MBC World (www.youtube.com/mbcworld) will introduce the various MBC events. The other channels (MBC Drama, MBC Entertainment, and MBC K-Pop) like their namesake will show drama, variety shows, and music programs on their Youtube.
