According to KOFIC (The Korean Film Council) on March 5, “Love Fiction” reached 1,013,822 viewers. On the first weekend of March the film had 567,819 viewers. This is a new record in terms of amount of viewers amassed within 5 days of its release. “200 Pounds Beauty” had reached a million viewers in 6 days of its release.
Ha Jung Woo’s Film “Love Fiction” Had 270,000 Viewers on March 1
On March 1 alone, Ha Jung Woo’s film “Love Fiction” made a big hit with 270,000 tickets sold. (March 1 is a national holiday in South Korea) According to KOFIC (The Korean Film Council) Love Fiction which released on February 29, had 269,334 viewers on March 1, and was #1 for the Korean box office. On the same day (March 1) the film that came in second place “This Means War” had 87,483 viewers.

“Love Fiction,” the romantic comedy movie starring Ha Jung Woo and Gong Hyo Jin opened to a strong showing on the box office. Local news agencies report records from the Korean Film Council took in over 160,000 admissions, which takes the film on its way to become a box office hit.

Choi Min Sik and Ha Jung Woo’s “Nameless Gangster” reached 4 million viewers. On February 28 KOFIC announced that on February 27 “Nameless Gangster” had 47,559 viewers. That puts the total viewers of “Nameless Gangster” at 4,035,230. “Nameless Gangster” was released on February 2, and within 25 days it has surpassed 4 million viewers. Within 2012 it is the film that has made 4 million viewers within the shortest amount of time.
