During a recent music video shoot in Japan singer IU had an interesting encounter with a parrot. The pictures that appeared online were taken behind-the-scenes. In the first image IU is seen posing with a parrot while making the “victory” sign with her fingers. In the photograph it is apparent that her fingers were pointed toward the parrot’s open mouth.

SHINee Releases Japanese Album "The First" in Korea
On February 29, SHINee released their Japanese debut album in South Korea. SHINee’s album, “The First,” was originally released in Japan in June of 2011. Through their promotions the popular group had the opportunity to meet with a wide variety of music fans. The response was positive. The album is available in two versions: a regular CD release and a CD and DVD version. “The First” is made up of twelve songs: five new songs “Better,” “To Your Heart,” “Always Love,” "Start," "Seesaw," and the group’s classic hits “Replay,” “Juliette,” “Lucifer,” "Amigo," "Love Like Oxygen," "Hello," and "The SHINee World."
Infinite Set to Release Second Japanese Single Album in April
Boy group Infinite plans to promote in Japan this spring with the release of their second album. The information that Infinite will be releasing another album was revealed through Japan’s most popular music site, Oricon Style. Infinite will be coming to Japan this April with their album, “Be Mine.” There will be four different editions available for purchase.

DBSK Will Broadcast Their Performance for Free to the Victims of the Japanese Tsunami
On February 24, the Japanese music site Oricon announced that DBSK will air their performance in the Japanese theatres in the North-East areas of Japan, the areas most damaged because of the tsunami. They will air the performance of March 10 of their Japanese tour.

2AM’s "Never Let You Go" is Ranked #1 on Japan’s Air-Play Charts
Within a month of being released, 2AM’s Japanese debut single has been rising to the top of the Japan Air-Play Charts. The Japanese Research Institute revealed that, over the past month, the single had been steadily climbing the charts. A representative for the institute explained, “2AM’s debut single ‘Never Let You Go’s total amount of Air-Play for the month of January managed to propel the title song to the top of the charts” he announced.
2PM Wins "New Artist of the Year" Award in Japan
2PM was crowned as Japan’s rookie group of the year. This past weekend in Tokyo Japan, the 26th Japanese Golden Disc Awards were held. Many artists from Japan and Korea were nominated but only few would go home with the prize. 2PM was one of the nominees for the “New Artist of the Year” award. The award looked for the most significant rookie group who showed much potential during the past year in all of Asia. Ultimately that group who fit the criteria ended up being the beastly idols of 2PM.
