Last year was a drama wonderland, packed with widely-popular series like “Secret Garden,” “City Hunter,” “49 Days,” and more, but now it’s time to look ahead to what dramas will air in 2012. Four new dramas will air this week, and several others have fans waiting at the edge of their seats.

Jung Il Woo’s Changes his Ideal Type Every Year

The cast of MBC’s upcoming historical drama, “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” gathered yesterday, January 2, for a press conference. “The Moon Embracing the Sun” is a fantasy historical drama (sageuk) set in the Joseon Dynasty and stars “Dream High’s” Kim Soo Hyun, “Bad Guy’s” Han Ga In, “Baby-Faced Beauty’s” Kim Min Seo, and “Flower Boy Ramen Shop’s” Jung Il Woo.

Nam Gyuri, Park Si Yeon, Park Si Hoo, and Others Record a Christmas Charity Song

Nam Gyuri, Park Si Yeon, and Park Si Hoo recently recorded on a song titled "Winter Story" to help the needy and the poor. Eight actors and actresses from Story Entertainment (a.k.a. Eyagi Entertainment) got together to record the song with no help from professional singers to benefit charity. All proceeds from the song’s sales will go toward charity programs for the people in need.

Jung Il Woo Cast in New Drama Following “Flower Boy Ramyun Shop”

Jung Il Woo (“49 Days,” and “Flower Boy Ramyun Shop”) has been cast for the new MBC drama, “The Moon Embracing the Sun.” He will take the role that was recently offered to “Ojakyo Brother’s” Joo Won. Earlier today, a representative of MBC told local media “OSEN” that Jung Il Woo has indeed accepted the offer and is scheduled for a costume fitting today.

Jung Il Woo Will Hold a Sports Meet with Fans

Jung Il Woo has thought of a unique fan meeting idea. The actor, most recently of “49 Days” and currently preparing for tvN’s “Flower Boys of the Ramen Shop,” will meet his fans in a sports event to be held at his alma mater on October 9. The event, dubbed “Body and Soul with Jung Il Woo” has even attracted overseas fans. The actor’s supporters from Japan, China, Taiwan and Thailand have reportedly signed up to attend the sports meet.
