[Recap] Saturday Night Live Korea, Episode 1 – Poking Fun at Politics

“Saturday Night Live (SNL) Korea” finally aired its inaugural episode last weekend, and I have to admit I was more than ecstatic to see my favorite U.S. comedy show air in Korea. It did a pretty good job of living up to the “SNL” name with a lot of political/cultural parodies. Kim Joo Hyuk also did a flawless job of running the show live.

JBarky’s “Padam Padam” [Recap] Episode 2: Beating Up Angels

The hallmark of a great drama is when you see the main character beat up his guardian angel, and also when you get to see a guardian angel beat up the protagonist that he is supposed to protect. Anyhooters, last week we ended off with Kangchil dying. After he died though, he seemed to warp past time back to the shower scene with his guardian angel, Gooksu. Kangchil is in awe/shock/horror because he doesn’t know what the hell is going on, and he is trying to tell Gooksu about his situation!

[MSD: Memorable Scene of the Day] Glorious Jane: Episode 17

For the past 16 episodes, viewers were left with the thought that nothing can rain on “optimist” Jae In’s parade. She’s developed into the sweetest character who puts others before herself. However, yesterday’s episode left viewers with the possible thought that Jae In might give herself to the dark side.

JBarky’s "Padam Padam" [Recap] Episode 1: I Am Hooked

For a while now I’ve been looking for a show that I really wanted to recap. I have finally found that show with “Padam Padam.” In a nutshell, this show is a mix of Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol,” the film Family Man, and It’s a Wonderful Life with a Korean twist.

By Korean twist I mean, all the profanity, protagonist kicking guardian angel, guardian angel beating the crap out of the protagonist, female lead flipping a bird, and whatnot. (Sounds interesting no? The show got me hooked!)

‎[Recap] KBS2 "Star Life Theater – SNSD Edition Final Part, The Girls Continue Their Journey."

It’s another day and the girls once again prepare to perform in front of their fans. We are once again at the MBC Studios and the girls are waiting behind the scenes waiting for their turn. They may do a whole bunch of other activities but standing on stage is definitely one of their favourites. Today they are performing “Mr Taxi,” a song that was originally in their first Japanese album, now translated into Korean and being used as one of the other songs they are performing during their domestic activities for their current album.

Lee Seung Gi Talks about His Music Career on MIC

On a recent episode of the cable channel Mnet’s “MIC,” which aired on November 27, Lee Seung Gi discussed his music career and the release of his fifth album, “We Are Friends.” He mentioned that his single “Era of Love,” which he composed himself was made in just 20 minutes. He commented, “I was in Japan and every time before I went out to have a beer I would write down sentences that I would like to share. Eventually these sentences would build up to be the lyrics of the song. I added a melody and recorded this and the final product was the single ‘Era of Love.’”
