The Film “Nameless Gangster" Reaches 4 Million Viewers

Choi Min Sik and Ha Jung Woo’s “Nameless Gangster” reached 4 million viewers. On February 28 KOFIC announced that on February 27 “Nameless Gangster” had 47,559 viewers. That puts the total viewers of “Nameless Gangster” at 4,035,230. “Nameless Gangster” was released on February 2, and within 25 days it has surpassed 4 million viewers. Within 2012 it is the film that has made 4 million viewers within the shortest amount of time.

Why Did Choi Min Sik Hug Sharon Stone at Cannes?

On the “Healing Camp, Aren’t You Happy” episode that was broadcast on February 6 Choi Min Sik talked about his experiences at the Cannes International Film Festival. Choi Min Sik had the honor of appearing at the Cannes International Film Festival for the films “Strokes of Fire,” and “Old Boy.” He stated that every time he stepped on the red carpet, it was a moving experience. However, there were times when viewers of Choi Min Sik films left while cursing. Choi Min Sik stated that despite that fact, he still enjoyed going to Cannes for the film festival.

On January 19, actor Ha Jung Woo talked about his experience working with senior actor Choi Min Sik at the press conference for their film, "Nameless Gangster." "While acting, I often feel a sense of loneliness when I’m standing in front of the camera after the action sign is given. Having to act in an uncomfortable atmosphere with such loneliness makes it that much harder. Fortunately, I met a great cast in this project, and Choi Min Sik and I regard each other with infinite trust and warmth. It was because of him that I was able to properly portray my character of Choi Hyung Bae," Ha Jung Woo stated.
