A national survey was conducted from October 7 to 14 on an internet movie site called Max Movie (www.maxmovie.com). The survey asked the site viewers, “Which idol has had the biggest influence and contributed the most to the K-Pop Boom?” SNSD was ranked as #1 as the idol to have had the most influence in leading the K-Pop Boom or Hallyu Wave.

Kara’s Goo Hara wrote on her twitter on October 14, “Nicole and Hara. (Laugh) We are happy.” As you can see in the picture, Goo Hara is looking very happy while Nicole is in the background making a cute face with two V signs. Netizens that have come across the picture stated, “Both of you are so pretty,” “It looks like you two ate the cutey cute fruit (This of course is a reference to the manga “One Piece.” Some of the characters in the manga ate fruits that grant them special powers. So, the two must have ate the cutey cute fruit that made them so cute),” I like your smile.”
SBS and DSP Media Released “Kara’s All About Beauty”
What is “Kara’s All About Beauty?” It is a beauty publication that has beauty tips from all five members of Kara. Kara’s agency DSP Media and SBS Contents Hub released the beauty publication together, they announced on October 14. SBS Content Hub stated, “On October 12 we released ‘Kara’s All About Beauty’ in Japan and Korea. The Japanese version contains a DVD, and the DVD reached #1 on the Orichon DVD charts.” However, the Korean version does not contain a DVD.

Kara’s Park Gyuri’s first performance of “200 Pounds Beauty” was a success and she received positive criticism for her role. According to Kara’s agency DSP Media the musical “200 Pounds Beauty” that began on October 8 has been sold out for all three showings from October 8-10. The musical will be showed in Japan until November 6 and will also be shown in Korea and other Asian nations.
