Kara Reveals Secret to Success in Japan

During their KARASIA Seoul concert press conference Kara shared their thoughts on why they were able to make it big in Japan. Explaining their individuals charms and uniqueness as girl group amongst many, the girls explain while creating lively talk and laughter with the press.

Kara’s Nicole Performs for "KARASIA" Through an Ankle Injury

Despite having an ankle injury Nicole still performed for the KARASIA concert. For the exclusive concert on February 19, Nicole got rid of the cast on her leg, taped it up, and went on stage to perform. During the first day of “KARASIA” and her single performance she hurt her ankle while leaving through a lift. After she got hurt, she did limp a little during performances but she still finished the concert. Afterwards in the prep room, she received acupuncture for her injury.

Kara’s "Super Girl" Goes Triple Platinum in Japan

In a ranking posted on February 10 by a Japanese record industry company, Kara’s second Japanese album, "Super Girl" has been newly crowned "Triple Platinum." The Triple Platinum title is for records which have sold over 750,000 copies. "Super Girl", which went on sale last November 23, took about three months to reach the Triple Platinum level.

Kara’s First Exclusive Concert Coming Up

Kara spoke a few words about their upcoming exclusive concert “Karasia.” Karasia will start off with a concert at Seoul’s Olympic Park Gymnastic Stadium from February 18-19. It is the first time Kara is having an exclusive concert since their debut which was in 2007. Kara stated, “It is not like we did not want to have a concert. We kept thinking that we still needed to improve, and suddenly time just kept passing by. During that period we had a lot of hit songs that could represent Kara. We believe that the exclusive concert will give us a chance to show different sides of Kara through the stage and performances.”

Kara Begins First Asia Tour “KARASIA” Starting in Korea February 2012

Kara is moving beyond South Korea and Kara to conquer all of Asia! Kara will begin their first Asia tour beginning in February. On February 18 and 29 Kara’s “KARASIA” tour will begin in Seoul’s Olympic Park. Kara’s representative stated on January 11, “Kara has had a lot of fan meetings that were like concerts but they have never done full-blown concerts. Kara has grown as one of the leaders of Hallyu, this year they will stay true to that by meeting fans in various Asian countries.”
