Jang Geun Suk and Girls’ Generation YoonA’s "Love Rain" Holds Press Conference

On March 22, over 350 reporters and photographers flocked to Lotte Hotel in Seoul for the press conference of upcoming drama “Love Rain,” starring Jang Geun Suk and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA. A representative of “Love Rain” stated, “Domestic and international reporters came to the venue three hours before the start of the event. We believe this is the greatest response a press conference has ever had.”

Brown Eyed Girls “Abracadabra” Featured in French Film “Les Tuche”

The Brown Eyed Girls reached the French audience through the comedy movie “Les Tuche.” The film was released last year. Brown Eyed Girls’ “Abracadabra” appears in a club scene for the movie. The two main characters are at a club and “Abracadabra” plays in the background. The main character goes to the DJ, hands him a CD and asks that the song be changed.

MTV to Air “Special: BIGBANG Comeback Show”

With a successful comeback under its belt, BIGBANG is bigger and hotter than ever. All five of its title tracks from "ALIVE" have swept the charts throughout Korea and Asia, and the album itself also charted at the number 150 spot on the U.S. Billboard 200. As a treat to VIPs and K-Pop fans in general, MTV will air a 60-minute BIGBANG special on March 31.

“Love Rain” Goes Beyond Asia, French and American Media Outlets to Attend Press Conference

Even before its broadcast, upcoming KBS melodrama “Love Rain,” starring Jang Geun Suk and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA, has received tremendous media attention not just in Korea but also internationally. According to a representative from the drama, “Foreign press, along with Korean media outlets, will attend today’s press conference. The attendees include reps from China’s “Xinhua,” Japan’s “Sankei,” Japan Fuji TV, and some American and French outlets as well.”

Trailer for Ha Ji Won’s Ping Pong Film "Korea"

Ha Ji Won’s upcoming ping pong film “Korea” released a trailer. “Korea” is about the 1991 World Ping Pong Championship and the first North-South Korean team. In the film Ha Ji Won portrays the 1991 World Ping Pong Championship gold medalist Hyun Jung Hwa while Bae Doo Na portrays the North Korean teammate Lee Boon Hee. Ha Ji Won actually received private lessons from Hyun Jung Hwa in 2011. Hyun Jung Hwa is currently an executive member of the Korea Table Tennis Association.
