On January 14, the Wonder Girls took time out of their busy schedule to visit a center that offers support to multicultural families in Seoul. With about 30 kids in attendance, the Wonder Girls became teachers for a day.

SNSD Parties it Up at a Karaoke

SNSD transformed into the Wonder Girls during a karaoke session. During SNSD’s show on JTBC’s “SNSD and the Dangerous Boys” they had a karaoke session and SNSD taught the boys how to party it up at karaoke. For the boys that followed the rules, SNSD had a special “course” set up for them and the first stop was karaoke. SNSD sang their own songs like “The Boys” and the Wonder Girls’ “Be My Baby.” It appeared like SNSD was releasing their stress because they were dancing and singing continuously.

Comedian Jung Hyung Don Shows Off His IU Transformation

Comedian Jung Hyung Don is garnering attention for his IU transformation. The comedian created laughter by dressing like IU on MBC “Weekly Idol – Girl Idol Edition,” where he is currently an MC. Jung Hyung Doㅜ—who previously revealed his fandom for IU in the past—reminisced the singer’s second album jacket by wearing a pigtail wig, identical dress, and stockings.

Monster and JYP’s Love-Child Headphones: Diamond Tears

Monster’s collaboration with Dr. Dre for the “Beats by Dre” headphones were highly successful. It was revealed on December 2010 that Monster and JYP had worked together to create a new line of headphones called “Diamond Tears.” The headphones will be released in the first quarter of 2012. The price of the headphones is a whopping $279.95. A “in-ear version” will be released in the later half of 2012.

K-Pop girl group’s representing the top three entertainment agencies in Korea (JYP, SM, and YG Entertainment) plan to release their albums one after the other in United States beginning this January. Together these three girl groups will be taking on the US market soon. The drive to breakthrough into the world’s largest music market has always been there, but up until recently the attempts haven’t yielded the desired results. As the popularity of K-Pop has grown throughout the world, the chances of K-Pop doing well in the western world have increased. Some argue that now just might be the right time for K-Pop to take off abroad.
