New Girl Group TAHITI to Be Introduced Through SBS-MTV

New girl group TAHITI will make their broadcasting debut on SBS-MTV to eight different countries in Asia. SBS-MTV announced on April 13 that TAHITI’s debut program "Ta-Dah! It’s TAHITI" will be aired in Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and Singapore.

2AM’s New Japanese Single #4 on Oricon Daily Chart

2AM released their second single album "You Wouldn’t Answer My Calls" in Japan on April 11. The song immediately debuted on Oricon Daily charts at the fourth place. This album includes Japanese version of "You Wouldn’t Answer My Calls," which was released in October 2010 in Korea, "Like Crazy," and the remake version of Japanese Singer Ken Hirai’s "Hitomi Wo Tojite (Close Your Eyes)."

Kara Receives 11th Gold Status Through “Speed Up / Girl’s Power”

Another Kara single has reached gold status in Japan! Their single “Speed Up / Girl’s Power” that was released on March 21 received gold status from the Japanese Recording Industry Association. Gold status means that it has sold over 100,000 copies. (Also, gold status gives official recognition) This single went up to #2 on the Oricon weekly chart and has sold over 120,000 copies.

SBS "K-Pop Star" Contestants Finally Get Free Time After 2 Months

“SBS K-Pop Star” allowed their contestants to have some free time after nearly 2 months. All of the contestants are currently living in their provided dormitories and are not allowed outside. On April 10 Park Jimin was allowed her personal time and went to her school in Daejun to meet her friends. It had been nearly two months since having her personal time since February 6.
